The horses rely on humans for care, and in turn, they offer humans the opportunity to be physically active, mentally engaged, and emotionally balanced. This symbiotic relationship supports both the horses' needs and the personal development of each individual.
Who We Are
Rancho 3 Agavez (R3A) is a non-profit organization with a deep commitment to healing and self-improvement. Founded during the challenging health crisis, when the world was under lockdown and human interaction was limited, R3A recognized the importance of connection and the power of nature. The organization’s mission grew from the founder’s personal experience of navigating the struggles of remote learning with her children during the pandemic. This inspired the realization that the outdoors, especially through the bond with horses, could offer profound healing and growth for many.
The founder’s journey with horses spans over 30 years, from her early years of learning the art of horsemanship and caring for horses to becoming part of the international team of Escaramuza Charra, a national sport of Mexico that involves synchronized, side-saddle riding as a drill team. This discipline not only taught her the skills needed to excel in a competitive setting but also instilled values of leadership, teamwork, and dedication.
With deep roots in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico, and a family legacy intertwined with the culture, the founder’s passion for horses was nurtured by her mother, which led to the creation of Rancho 3 Agavez de Cielo Azul. The name reflects both the founder’s heritage and the healing power of nature and animals.
At Rancho 3 Agavez, the goal is to build a connection between humans and horses, allowing for healing and self-discovery. The organization is committed to expanding its reach and providing an opportunity for others to experience this unique form of therapy. The board of directors continues to work hard to shape and grow this public charity, welcoming others to join them on this meaningful journey.
